[ON DEMAND] Navigating the SBTi Process: Recent Updates and What Companies Should Expect
We hosted a webinar with guest speaker Kyra Power from Science Based Targets initiative on SBT strategy and the road ahead. We covered key milestones in the SBTi journey, the current submission process, and overview of the proposed Corporate Net Zero Standard v2.

– The Science Based Targets Initiative is in the process of updating its net zero standard to V2, which proposes a significant shift from current V1.3
– Companies approaching these common SBTi milestones will need to assess valid target options at the time of their milestone
– CNZS V2 adoption will be optional until January 1, 2028, to give companies time to transition to the updated standards. In the interim, companies may use v1.3 or v2 through December 31, 2027
– The science-based target setting process is six steps, with recent updates streamlining the target setting process for both companies and SBTi
