Agendi at NY Climate Week 2025
9 Sep 2024On Wednesday, September 25, join Agendi and Fordham Gabelli School of Business – Responsible Business Center for an in-depth overview of California and EU climate and sustainability regulations. You will gain practical insights to thrive and decarbonize under these new regulatory regimes. Register here by September 19.
Voluntary climate commitments and reporting have been a cornerstone of corporate sustainability efforts in the United States. However, with the increasing urgency of addressing climate change, there is a push towards more formalized and mandatory climate regulations. More specifically, the EU and California enacted new laws that are shaping how companies disclose their greenhouse gas emissions, assess their climate risks, set reduction targets, and report on their progress, including on their transition plans.
This shift is aimed at ensuring greater accountability and transparency in corporate climate actions, driving more consistent and significant reductions in emissions across industries. As regulatory frameworks develop, companies will need to adapt their strategies and reporting practices to comply with new requirements, contributing to a more standardized and enforceable approach to corporate sustainability.
